American Racism and Racialism Stereotype
American people in general may be portrayed as racist or racialist, often discriminating against their minorities. Racism was a significant issue of American history and is still relevant today. According to Albert Einstein, racism is America’s “worst disease”. America is argued to be a “color-blind” society, but the extent of discrimination and prejudice among Americans are still controversial. When comparing attitudes and behaviors towards racism, there is a clear discrepancy between what people say, and do. Racialized society, racial classification, and the concept of race is a part of the American culture, where it is frequently used in political contexts. Historical racism continues to be reflected in socioeconomic inequality, and has taken on more modern, indirect forms of expression, most prevalently symbolic racism. Many people in the U.S. maintain some prejudices against other races.

Mike Brown Peace Rally
Good Morning All!!
Today there is a Mike Brown peaceful rally being held in Princeton, New Jersey. I am still undecided with what to put on my poster. My son would have like to come, but I choose to keep him out of this particular rally. If this rally goes smooth, I will consider taking him to the Campaign to End the New Jim Crow: Stop Mass Incarceration in October.
This rally is was coordinated with the Princeton Police Department.Over the past 3 years Princeton has been trying to build a better relationship with the residents, students, people working and visiting.
I am so excited for this rally. In the back of my mind I am wondering if any will get arrested.
I know I am not looking to cause any problems to Princeton. I actually plan on patronizing the local businesses and introducing myself to the local law officials. I go to Princeton a lot and I am sometimes contracted out there.

"Don't Call Me That"
So I was having a conversation with my 8 year-old son. He just reminds of the kind of person that is all about world peace. He did a piece for President's Day this year I was so proud of him.
So my son say "why do people call themselves black when they are brown. I tell people don't call me black, call me brown.
So I asked "what do you call other friends that are light and dark?"
He said: If they are light I call them white, yellow, tan, or mocha. If they are dark there are a lot of shades of brown. There's coffee, brown, caramel, chocolate.
What can you do when your 8 year old sees the world as it actually is versus what they want you to think it is? (He believes in a peaceful world where racism will not exist. The sad part is he know it is chaotic and needs improvement.)
I teach him to be bugger than you are and help people out. Be there. Be compassionate. And I applaud his efforts for a more humble world. Who knows... he may be the one to actually make a difference that sticks around an eternity.

He is the Yang to my Yin.
